I’m Mark, one of the Co-Founders of LCA!

My journey into the world of food started when I was a kid. I used to help my mom in the kitchen, mainly by being her official taste tester. I guess you could say I have a knack for savoring flavors. I learned a lot about Traditional Japanese Cooking from my mom, and that laid the foundation for my culinary adventure.

Later on, I worked as a chef assistant and server at a Japanese Restaurant ‘Kitchen Papa’, and that’s where the real fun began. I spent Five Years there, serving up all sorts of delicious Japanese dishes and getting some seriously top-notch training from a super Talented Japanese Chef. I got to try my hand at making various traditional Japanese dishes like katsu, noodles, pastas, stir-fries, yakitori, soups, teppan – you name it, I’ve made it!

After that, I decided to mix things up a bit and headed to UC Berkeley, where I earned a business bachelor’s degree. From there, I jumped into the packaged food industry and spent a whopping 12 years as an food broker exporting various foods to countries all over the world. This invaluable experience not only provided me with the chance to savor foods from various corners of the world but also broadened my palate.

Then in 2018, inspired by my belief in a balanced lifestyle and my passion for creating healthy Asian inspired recipes, I embarked on the journey that led to the creation of LCA backed with over two decades of experience in the art of Asian-style cooking.

Since then, I’ve been busy in the kitchen, whipping up more than 500 Recipes that have been Tried, Tested, and Adored by people from every corner of the world. I do it because I genuinely enjoy making these dishes, and I hope they bring as much joy to your kitchen as they do to mine.

So, come along on this delicious journey with me, and let’s explore the wonderful world of Asian-inspired cuisine together!
