What are Air Fried Salt and Vinegar Zucchini Chips?
Thinly sliced zucchini is dipped in vinegar, sprinkled with sea salt and air fried until thier light and airy chips loaded with flavor. You will be surprised how close to traditional potato chips they taste like!
Can I use an oven to make crispy zucchini chips?
If you prefer, you can bake sliced zucchini at 225F for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until slightly browned and crispy. Just make sure to spray some cooking oil on your silicone baking mat so it doesn’t stick.
How do I store zucchini chips?
The best way to store these is using an airtight bag or container to eliminate excess moisture from affecting the texture of these chips. If the chips become stale, just throw them back in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes @ 210F.
Is it better to season zucchini chips before or after air frying?
You can do it either way, although we found that pre-seasoning makes the chips more flavorful.
Do you have any tips or tricks on making salt and vinegar zucchini chips?
- Use a mandoline for uniform sliced zucchini. This will ensure even cooking of the chips.
- If they become soggy or stale, you can always throw them back in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes to crisp it up again.
- Careful with over seasoning as they can become excessively salty quickly.
- Make sure to space them evenly in the air fryer making sure they are not overlapping each other so they can successfully crisp up.
- Use a large air fryer so you can make a bigger batch or use stack-able air fryer racks to make large batches. These zucchini chips are highly addicting so it’s helpful if you can make more at one time.
