Keto Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Everyone will love these savory, bite size Keto Bacon Wrapped Asparagus.  They are such an easy bacon appetizer to make and are sure to impress a crowd!

The combination of bacon and asparagus is a match made in heaven!

That is why every time I make these bacon wrapped asparagus bites for my family and friends, they are gone in no time!

With the addition of sriracha and fried garlic chips, the explosion of flavor is incredible!

What is Bacon Wrapped Asparagus?

Sliced bacon and asparagus spears are rolled, baked and topped with sriracha and fried garlic chips.

What kind of bacon do you recommend using for this recipe?

We prefer to use medium thick bacon.  If it’s too thick, the bacon will take too long to cook through but also if it’s too thin, you will risk overcooking.  Also, thin bacon will tend to rip when wrapping the asparagus.

Do you have any tips on how to make bacon wrapped asparagus?

  • Stretch the bacon to make it easier to work with before wrapping.
  • Garlic chip hack, you can put garlic slices in a bowl, cover with oil and microwave for 60-90 seconds or until browned.
  • Trim off the bottom of the asparagus to avoid the fibrous part.
  • For thick asparagus, wrap 2-3 asparagus pieces.  For thin asparagus wrap 4-5 pieces per slice.
  • Place on baking pan with the open flap side down to help keep the shape.

Ingredients

  • 3 Slices of Bacon Roughly 10 inches in Length
  • 4-5 Stalks of Asparagus
  • 12 Toothpicks
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 12 Drops of Sriracha

Directions

1) Gather all the ingredients.

2) Preheat oven to 450F.

3) Cut bacon vertically into 4 equal parts. You should end up with roughly twelve 2″ bacon slices.

4) Cut asparagus into 2 inch lengths.

5) Place 2-4 pieces of asparagus onto the bacon piece and roll up asparagus with bacon.  Once rolled, place a toothpick through the asparagus to maintain shape throughout cooking (try to keep the conjoining point on the bottom to help maintain shape).

6) Place bacon on silicon baking mat (or oil coated aluminum foil) and bake for 10-14 minutes.

7) Thinly slice 12 slices of garlic cloves.  In a small fry pan, add oil and garlic on medium heat.  Cook until browned on both sides (about 2-3 minutes) and transfer to a holding bowl.

8) Once bacon is baked, remove toothpicks and transfer to a serving plate.  Top with a drop of Sriracha and fried garlic.
