What’s keto french toast?

My version of keto french toast is made up of a simple keto pancake recipe, then it’s dipped in a delicious egg mixture and then cooked in a pan until golden brown.

What kind of keto maple syrup do you recommend using?

My favorite syrup to put on french toast is ChocZero maple syrup but feel free to use your preferred sugar-free maple syrup.

What kind of pancake iron should I use to make the keto french toast bread?

I love using the Dash Mini Griddle Maker to make these perfect little pancakes but using a regular pan will also work however, they may not be as thick.

Any tips on making keto french toast?

Make sure your cream cheese is at room temp to ensure an even batter.  This process can be done instantly by putting the cream cheese in the microwave for a few seconds.  Or you can also throw everything in the blender which will ensure a very smooth batter.

For this recipe, the special ingredients you would need are Coconut Flour, Monkfruit and Sugar Free Maple Syrup, which can be purchased on Amazon or a local specialty supermarket.

You will also need a pancake iron.  We use the Dash Mini Griddle Maker because it’s the perfect size for this recipe, but any pancake iron will do (you can use a waffle maker if you want as well).

Note – If you are preparing multiple servings, we would recommend using 2 Dash Mini Griddle Maker simultaneously to reduce the cooking time.

Now if you’re ready, let’s get making from keto style French toast just in time for breakfast!

6) Once toasts are cooked, dip into French toast coating and set aside.

7) In a Teflon frying pan, melt butter on medium low heat.  Once butter is melted, transfer coated toast and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until browned and transfer to a serving plate.  Top with optional berries of choice!
