  • Eggs – beaten in a mixing bowl.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese – pre-grated or fresh parmesan or romano cheese. 
  • Mayo – use Japanese mayonnaise which is richer and slightly sweet. 
  • Heavy Cream – heavy whipping cream, heavy cream or double cream in the UK. 
  • Soy Sauce – low sodium is preferred. 
  • Green Onion – also known as scallions, finely chopped.
  • Bacon – finely chopped into bits.

How to make jalapeno poppers with bacon?

Start by cutting jalapenos, de-seeding and placing them onto a baking sheet with aluminum foil or a silicon baking mat

Next, prepare the egg mixture by combining eggs, Parmesan cheese, mayo, cream, soy sauce, a slice of bacon, and green onions.

Use a spoon to scoop the egg mixture into the jalapeno halves and bake at 325F for 12-16 minutes until the eggs are no longer runny.

Pro Tip – if looking for more flavor, feel free to add some garlic powder and onion powder to the egg mix and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.

How to cut Jalapeño peppers? 

Slice jalapeno peppers long ways in half and de-seed using your hands or a spoon to scoop out the seeds. 

Pro Tip – if you prefer a little more spiciness, add some of the seeds into the egg mixture.
