My strawberry slushy recipe is so easy I’m not even sure we can call it a recipe, but so many of my friends have been asking for it so I thought it deserved a space here.
I have been making my kids these strawberry slushy’s for years!
It’s a great alternative to sugary popsicles or ice creams that the kids crave during those warm summer months. Anytime they ask for a popsicle, I offer them a strawberry slushy and know that I’m giving my kids a healthier alternative!
It never occurred to me that this is actually a low-carb/keto treat until the other day when it was 100 F degrees outside and my daughter was asking for what else, a strawberry slushy.
Since I always make a little too much, I was so tempted to have some myself. That’s when I realized that I actually could drink it since it didn’t contain any juice with added sugar making it a perfect low-carb/keto drink!
We love using sparkling water because it adds an extra fizziness to the slushy. Feel free to use plain or flavored sparkling water for an extra twist!
I think most people are so trained to think that frozen sweet drinks such as slushy’s or Icee’s are full of sugar, so they automatically think they can’t have it.

- 2 tbsp Monkfruit or sweetener of choice
- 1/2 Cup Carbonated Water
