If you like Keto Pina Colada’s…. I got you thinking about that song didn’t I? I personally love the taste of pina colada’s especially on hot summer days by the pool!
This particular recipe came to me last summer when I was on vacation lounging by the pool with my kids and wishing they served a Keto Pina Colada. How great would that be?
Then I got to thinking and realized that it was actually achievable, so when I got back from our trip I quickly got in the kitchen and started recipe testing.
With consideration of the carbs in pineapples, I tried to use as little as possible to make this drink but feel free to use more to get a stronger taste profile.
Also to keep carb count low, I used coconut milk for the base along with frozen pineapples. This way, you won’t need to use as much ice.
And yes, we know and are very aware that pineapples aren’t exactly ideal ‘keto’ or ‘low carb’ choice in the fruit kingdom, but we figured with the small amount we are using in this drink, it’s fine.
The whole drink comes out to ~5g net carb per serving, so within moderation, we think it’s perfectly fine to enjoy one of these every now and then!
But we are perfectly aware that miles may vary given some are following a strict 20 net carbs and under, so this one might not be for you.
You can also use fresh pineapples along with ice if you desire, however the ice would water down the smoothie considerably and you would need to increase the amount of fresh pineapples needed to achieve the right flavors, hence increase carb count.

For this one, you will only need Swerve/Monkfruit and coconut milk as the special ingredients, which can be purchased on Amazon or a local specialty supermarket.

- 2 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
- 2 tbsp Monkfruit, Swerve or Sweetener of Choice
- 1 fl oz Rum (optional)
