I am a huge fan of fishing. There is very little that can compare with being on the ocean, breathing in fresh crisp air and seeing nothing but open water for miles ahead…until I get seasick and I seriously contemplate jumping off the boat.
If you haven’t even been seasick, just imagine the worst hangover you’ve ever have had…times 10. That pretty much summarizes it.
Now, I do not have any research of scientific evidence to support my claim, but I do know you get seasick because there is a disconnect between what your body feels and what your eyes see. This causes nausea in your stomach and the downward spiral begins.
So enter the Keto Rye Ginger Whiskey. This drink takes care of both problems in one go. The ginger settles your stomach down, and the whiskey makes you feel ‘buzzed’, so your body isn’t feeling anything anymore.
I am sure this will never become medically approved, but hey, whatever works!
This recipe contains no carbs, so it is definitely low-carb/keto OKed. Now, this is a very interesting drink because you actually get a double kick of fire from the whiskey and ginger.
It does bring a lot of heat on the tongue, but it is rounded off with a smoother sweet finish. If you are looking for a drink that will keep you nice and warm during those holiday winter months, this would be the ideal drink!
For this recipe, you just need some keto ginger ale and a bottle of whiskey (I prefer rye whiskey for this particular cocktail mix).
