Ingredient Substitutions
For a dairy-free alternative, simply swap out the heavy cream with Coconut Milk or Coconut Cream. These substitutes offer a rich and creamy texture, perfect for maintaining the indulgent feel of the drink while accommodating dietary preferences.
Directions
Step 1 Start with brewing Tazo passion fruit tea with boiling water for 5 minutes.
Step 2 Then add sweetener if preferred, ice, sugar-free syrups and heavy cream. Mix and stir well.
🍓 Garnishing Pro Tip
Add sliced Fresh Strawberries in for some extra flavors.
🥤 Separation Pro Tip
Separation in the drink will occur due to the acidity in the tea mixing with the heavy cream. To correct this, simply Shake or Re-Stir.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different type of tea instead of Tazo Passion Tea?
If you're aiming to replicate the authentic Starbucks experience, it's best to stick with Tazo Passion Tea. This ensures that your homemade keto pink drink closely resembles the original in both flavor and appearance.
What can I substitute for heavy whipping cream if I'm lactose intolerant?
If you're lactose intolerant and need a substitute for heavy whipping cream, coconut cream is an excellent alternative.
Will the drink taste the same if I use coconut milk instead of heavy cream?
Using coconut milk instead of heavy cream in the drink will subtly alter the flavor profile by introducing a hint of coconut. While the drink will still be creamy and delicious, you may notice a slight coconut undertone that adds a unique twist to the original taste.
Storage Tips
Leftovers of this drink are best enjoyed right after making, as dilution will occur over time.
