Why I Love This Recipe

As someone who grew up eating Korean BBQ every weekend, I absolutely love this Korean BBQ Grilled Pork Belly recipe, or samgyeopsal-gui as it’s called in Korean served with my Korean BBQ Sesame Oil Dipping Sauce! I made sure it’s effortless to prepare and brimming with authentic Korean flavors, highlighting the delightful simplicity of pork belly alongside a delicate salt and toasted sesame dipping sauce. What sets my version apart is the addition of black pepper and minced fresh garlic to the sauce, adding an extra layer of savory goodness!

Just like my popular Pan Seared Korean BBQ Brisket, Pan Fried Pork Belly, and simple to make Korean BBQ Style Pork Jowl dishes, this recipe requires no marinating, all the flavor comes from the grill and the simple sauces. Perfect for anyone craving a taste of authentic Korean BBQ at home, this dish delivers juicy, tender pork belly dipped in a nutty sesame oil sauce with a hint of salt. If you’re looking for a foolproof and incredibly satisfying meal, look no further than this grilled pork belly dish!

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Pork Belly – pork belly sliced into 1/2 inch thickness and 4 inch in length.
  • Salt – sea salt preferred.
  • Green Onion – finely chopped green onion scallions.
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds – optional garnish.
  • Toasted Sesame Oil – 100% Toasted Sesame Oil that should have a dark brown color.
  • Black Pepper – optional, ground.
  • Garlic – optional, freshly minced garlic.

🥓 Pork Belly Note

For easier slicing, Freeze the skinless pork belly for 20-30 Minutes before cutting into 1/2-inch thick, bite-sized pieces. This semi-frozen state makes slicing a breeze and ensures neat, uniform cuts.
