This isn’t really a recipe, but more of an informational tutorial showing the steps on how to use a Soda Stream machine to make carbonated water at home! It’s super simple to use and actually will save you quite a bit of money in the long run!
If you’ve read any of our other posts, you probably know by now that we love carbonation!
We were in search of a replacement for our carbonation craving, so that’s when we invested in a SodaStream and we’ve never looked back since.
SodaStream makes carbonated water that is 1) much cheaper per oz than a canned/bottled carbonated water 2) produces much stronger carbonation 3) so easy to use that our 3 year old can do it!
Plus, having freshly carbonated water does really make a big difference in the effervescent effect of the drink!
So if you’re a big fan of sparkling drinks but rather not have to open a can each time, a SodaStream might be something to consider!

Ingredients
- SodaStream Machine
- 1L Cold Filtered Water
Directions
1) Gather all the ingredients.
2) Pour COLD water of choice into SodaStream bottle (cold otherwise your carbonated water will be warm).
3) Place SodaStream bottle into the mouth of the SodaStream device and push in to lock it into place. Press down on SodaStream device to add carbonation. The one we have has 3 lights with each light representing the amount of carbonation being added. I prefer 1 light, but the choice is up to you. Pour your SodaStream carbonated water into a glass.
