This Asian style marinated mozzarella pearls recipe is the perfect little snack to change things up a bit. And with us being low-carb/keto, we’re always on the lookout for new recipe inspirations!
This time, the inspiration happened to come from a place known for their competitively priced bulk items, an array of sampling stations and their $4.99 Rotisserie Chicken located at the back of each store – Costco!
While making our weekly run to our local Costco we saw a tub of marinated Mozzarella pearls. It seemed like a great low-carb/keto snack, so we threw it in our cart and off we went.
A couple of days later, we opened it up and a couple of hours after that, they were all gone!
We really enjoyed them and decided to create our own version of this snack with an LCA Asian twist of course!
We decided to experiment with adding a touch of soy sauce to the marinade just it give the mozzarella some depth. We also added some basil and garlic.
The ingredients in the marinade really come together to create this savory snack that keeps you coming back for more!
This super simple snack consists of only 7 ingredients and can be prepared in a matter of minutes! It makes for a great snack, a side dish to pair with your meals, or even as a party appetizer!
These little pearls have that classic mozzarella bounce paired with flavors of soy sauce and olive oil and a hint of black pepper.
They are also very low-carb/keto friendly coming in at ~1g net carb per serving!
For this dish, the only special ingredient you would need is Soy Sauce, which should be available at your local supermarket or on Amazon. If you are strict keto, you can replace the soy sauce with a keto friendly alternative.
Now, let’s get cooking!
