Sweet Japanese BBQ Beef n’ Broccoli

Jump to Recipe

We happen to be blessed enough where we often get together with our extended family to eat a nice meal together.  When these times call, we usually end up eating Chinese food and ordering ‘the usual’ from the menu, one of which is Beef & Broccoli.  Now, anywhere you go Beef & Broccoli tastes the same but at this particular restaurant, it was different, a good different!  It was a little sweet, a little peppery, and had some kind of complex sauce that I knew I’ve had before but quite couldn’t nail down.  Around halfway through our meal, it came to me – it tasted like yakisoba sauce!  It wasn’t exactly yakisoba sauce, but shared enough similar characteristics that I knew this would make a good fusion!  So later in the week, I hit the test kitchen with this vision in mind and out came a dish we coined Keto Sweet Japanese BBQ Beef n’ Broccoli!  It came out just as good as the version we had at the restaurant but we, of course, keto-fied it!  Hope you enjoy!
