Ahhh, whiskey – now this is my go-to-drink when wine just doesn’t cut it. Nothing like a nice glass of fine whiskey to soften up a rough day. This isn’t a recipe, more of a keto alcoholic drink idea that you could enjoy after a long day.
For this occasion, I was lucky enough to have my cousin-in-law’s husband bring over an extremely special bottle of whiskey from Taiwan. Ka-Va-Lan, which just entered the scene in 2005, and has already established itself as a premium whiskey distiller.
Within this short amount of time, they even won the distinction of the World’s Best Single Malt Whiskey and that happened to be the exact bottle I had today. I usually like my whiskey on the rocks, so that is how I prepared it, but others do prefer ‘neat’ or without ice. There is no wrong or right way, so just enjoy how you prefer!
If you can pour liquid without spilling, you can make this drink! It might be easy at first, but a simple task like that does get challenging after the 3rd drink! If you enjoy whiskey, I do recommend investing in proper whiskey glassware.
These glasses are designed to properly capture the whiskey’s aroma. As you may know, taste is ~80% smell, so it is important to be able to capture these essences to fully explore the drink.
