Ingredients

Stir Fry

  • 3/4 lb Round Steak
  • 1 Cup Broccoli
  • 1 tbsp Neutral Cooking Oil (oil with no taste)
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Seed (optional)

Sauce

  • 2 Clove Garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp Oyster Sauce (eliminate for strict carb counting but will alter taste)
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Swerve or Monkfruit
  • 1/4 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 tsp Japanese Sake (can replace with dry sherry)
  • 1/8 tsp Xanthan Gum

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Grate garlic and place into mixing bowl.
  • Add Oyster Sauce, Soy Sauce, Swerve/Monkfruit, chicken broth, Japanese sake, Xanthan Gum into the same mixing bowl and well mix. Now split the sauce into 2 bowls of equal parts.
  • Pat down the round steak with a paper towel then slice steaks into 1/4 inch thick strips. Transfer sliced beef into 1 of the bowls from step 3), mix well and set aside.
  • Wash, cut broccoli into bite size pieces and set aside.
  • In a large frying pan, add cooking oil and bring up to temperature over high heat. Once oil starts to lightly smoke, carefully add broccoli, stir well and cook for 1 minute. Once 1 minute has passed, remove broccoli and set on a holding plate.
  • Add beef into the same large frying pan and cook on high heat for 1-1.5 minutes or until slightly browned.
  • After beef is browned, add back in the broccoli and pour remaining sauce into the large frying pan. Mix well, cook for an additional 2-3 minute or until desired broccoli tenderness is reached. Transfer to serving plate and sprinkle optional Toasted Sesame Seed. Enjoy hot!
